“It is rare to hear about a client hugging their design team at the end of a major renovation, but saying goodbye to Tina, Shawn, and Andriy (our contractor) felt like saying goodbye to family. We felt very close to them by the end of the process and it was a bittersweet moment for us.

This was our first home purchase. While we intentionally picked a fixer upper, we knew that the potential of the home wouldn't be fully realized without the right vision or build-team. We had met a few different architects and design and build groups, but ultimately chose Dacotah after getting to know them during an in-person walkthrough of the property. Moreso than any other group, Shawn and Tina struck us as genuine, down-to-earth people who really just wanted to help us make our dream home a reality (which they did!), had the experience to execute this at a high level, and the organizational skills to keep us from breaking the bank. 

From the beginning, we had a very tight budget but a lot of changes we wanted to make, and Tina and Shawn were unwavering in their commitment to help us find ways to accomplish this. During the design phase, Dacotah utilized several design and organizational programs that allowed us to visualize every aspect of the project before saying "go" and to monitor the overall costs of the project. During the renovation, we also loved that when they suggested materials, fixtures and products, they gave us multiple options and different price points so we could decide where to save and where to spend if the budget was growing out of hand. Inevitably with any project, there were bumps in the road and unexpected challenges, but Shawn and Tina navigated us through each issue with the utmost professionalism and patience. In short, we felt incredibly fortunate to have them in our corner and knew without a doubt they were advocating for us every step of the way behind the scenes. 

The final outcome was well worth the effort and wouldn't have been possible without Shawn and Tina. We cannot recommend them highly enough, and have gone on to recommend them to several of our own friends and family.”
